"The overnight cruise on Milford Sound was amazing! Kayaking on Lake Hawea was a lot of fun too. The drive from Lake Wanaka to the Matukituki River and the Rob Roy Glacier Hike was really beautiful, and then the hike up to Key Summit also! Dinner at Jon's house the first night was great! I really can't choose a highlight... It was all great - I guess this whole trip was a highlight!" |

| Milford
Sound Overnight Cruise |
|
Upon
arrival in the afternoon at Milford Sound, we will board our waiting
vessel for an overnight cruise of the sound (it's actually a fiord!).
We will cruise the length of the sound, stopping overnight in a
quiet bay. You will also get the chance to paddle their sea kayaks
in the evening and early morning. Glacier carved hanging valleys,
thick native forest, spectacular waterfalls and sheer precipices
tower over the fiord.

| Day
Hikes |
Each
day we’ll hike around two to four miles on tracks we believe
to be the best in the South Island. Our guides have encyclopedic knowledge
of New Zealand’s natural history, vegetation and wildlife and
delight in sharing the many natural wonders of New Zealand with our
visitors. |
|
| Snorkeling |
Prefer
underwater activities to land based? Snorkeling is the next best thing
to deep sea diving. With New Zealand’s clear water and abundant
fish life, you too will be able to spot that Bluehead sucker, more
commonly referred to as Catostomus discobolus. While our Guides might
not know every single species, they can definitely show you how to
have a good time with a pair of flippers, a mask and snorkel. |

| Winery
Tour |
The
South Island of New Zealand is fast gaining a reputation for its
wine. The Wilson family planted Mount Maude vineyard in 1994 in
the beautiful Maungawera Valley near Wanaka. Dawn and Terry welcome
us into their home to taste some of the finest wines produced in
the area.
